Oil/canvas doubl. Vision of Saint Monica by her son, Saint Augustine. The church and saint painter, pupil of Andreas Wolf in Munich, since 1713 master in Augsburg, painted mainly in fresco technique, but also large-scale canvas painting. The painting at hand is unsigned, but very typical in its colour and brushwork. Old rest. Krak. Good condition. Germany, 18th century. H x W ca. 183 x 116 cm, unger.
