Oil/canvas, mounted on hardboard. Three putti, partly wrapped in cloths, are busy writing letters. One putto holds an inkwell in his hands and dictates the lines to the putto behind. The front putto leans on books, often symbols of science, next to a globe. A clock, a vanitas symbol, can be seen in the background. Beautiful baroque carved frame. Good condition.
