Oak wood, unframed. Full sculptural group of figures, flattened on the back. Mother Anna is sitting on a bench, next to her on a chair is Mary. On her knees she holds the clothed infant Jesus. Anna is handing him grapes. Anna is dressed in a woman's bonnet, Mary with uncovered wavy hair falling over her shoulders and chest. The dresses flow down to the ground in soft folds, revealing rounded shoe tips. Old, inactive wb., condition due to age. Germany, early 16th c. H with base ca. 37 cm
