Jug stick. Probably Alsace. 18th / early 19th century. Oak, dark brown lacquer polished, partially walnut veneered and ebonized. Transverse rectangular top with two curved plate shelves with support and profiled, flat cornice and curved moulding below. The transverse rectangular base over four short, s-shaped curved feet. Centrally three drawers flanked by two doors. The doors with high rectangular panels and curved ends, panels and carcase frame with inlaid floral decoration. The drawers and plate shelves accentuated by inlaid band and tooth frieze decoration. Single turn box locks. Keys present. Restored condition. Light signs of use due to age and occasional jointing in the area of knotholes. Countertop with restored crazing, minimal warping.
