Art Nouveau frame with historicizing elements. Around 1900. Wood with recto full-surface mass application with floral ornamentation in relief and bronze-coloured leaf metal overlay. Outside rocaille-shaped tendrils and inside a delicate pearl bar as well as with neoclassical corner applications (leaf tendril bar). Wooden strips glued on verso as a folding construction as well as triangles in the corners later added. Depths of the ornamentation with dust deposits. Metal leaf overlay probably darkened somewhat later. Tiny flaws in the ground application, partly with stress cracks and replaced flaws. Dimensions: overall 72.5 x 93 cm, fold 54.5 x 75 cm, profile 10 x 3.6 cm.
