The front of the jug with a symmetrical blossom with two birds each. The cups with three red blossoms each. Each with the artist's mark and the ligatured monogram "GK" on the underside. Vessels with isolated shrinkage from the manufacturing process. One mug with a very small chip on the stand. Dimensions: jug h. 25,5 cm / cup h. 9,5 cm, d. 7,5 cm. Heiner Hans Körting 1911 Munich - 1991 Dornburg/ Saale Already Körting's parents ran a ceramic workshop in Oranienburg. 1927-29 he completed an apprenticeship in the Oranienburg workshops with his parents. Afterwards he attended the engineering and factory school for ceramics in Höhr-Grenzhausen until 1931. In 1949 he took over a pottery workshop in Dornburg, which was originally the workshop of master potter Max Krehan and from which the ceramic workshop of the Bauhaus emerged in May 1920. Gerda (first wife), Lisa (second wife) and the sons from the marriage with Gerda, Ulrich and Kristian, also worked in Dornburg. Ulrich ran the workshop until the 1990s. Since 1980 Kristian maintains his own workshop in Remschütz.
