The wall of one cup with white background, on it five blue flowers above a circumferential, slanted arched frieze. From the "Ritz" collection, shape "Becher 597", décor "443". The other cup is decorated by white background with five blue flowers on the top of the frieze. From the "Ritz" collection, shape "Becher 597", décor "448". Marked by brush mark "HB" in underglazed blue, painter's number and artist's signature on the bottom. Dimensions: h. 12 cm each. Heidi Manthey 1929 Leipzig 1946-49 Studied painting and graphics in Leipzig with Walther Münze and Max Schwimmer. 1949-52 studied ceramics in Halle/Burg Giebichenstein. After 1956 collaboration with Hedwig Bollhagen in Marwitz. Lectureships at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee from 1975-80 and at Burg Giebichenstein from 1980-97.
