A plate with insects and birds. Meissen. Probably mid-19th century. Porcelain, glazed, and partially heightened with gold. Marked by an underglazed blue sword mark, painter's number, embossed number "14" and engraved model number "W 79". Slightly hollowed form with a central flower in relief and a swinging flag in relief decoration with insects, birds and floral depictions. Relief decoration subsequently gold-bronzed. Gold rim partially rubbed. A punctual irregularity in the glaze on the mirror. Isolated tiny chips on the stand ring as well as two chips on the underside of the plate rim, also on the underside two brown inclusions. Dimensions: D. 21,5 cm.
