Siegwald Dahl 1827 Dresden - 1902 ibid. Son of J. C. Claussen Dahl. Learned from his father and the animal painter J. F. W. Wegener, later at the Dresden academy. He especially distinguished himself as an animal and landscape painter. He often travelled within Germany and to Norway, which is also reflected in his motifs. His works of art can be found in Stockholm, Bergen and in the Gemäldegalerie Dresden.
