Verso with paper remnants and with an abrasion due to an older mounting. Dimensions: 36.5 x 52 cm. William James Callcott 1843 ? - 1890 ? British painter, especially of marine and coastal scenes as well as landscapes. Active in London between 1843-96. Travelled to Plymouth, exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy, the Royal Institute, the New Watercolour Society and the Society of British Artists. Also worked as a stage designer for various London theatres.
