Michael Wirkner 1954 Chemnitz - 2012 Sarow Michael Wirkner studied graphics and painting at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. From 1982 he worked freelance in Schwerin, from 1985 freelance in Schwerin and Sarow near Demmin. His paintings are represented in many important public and private collections worldwide. Among other things, Wirkner designed the staircase of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin and created artworks for the Ozeaneum in Stralsund.
