Klaus Wegmann 1923 Wünschelburg (Silesia) - 2006 Dresden Until 1942 Wegmann attended the grammar school in Münsterberg, from which he graduated in 1942. From 1945 he worked as a new teacher in Dresden, graduating from the University of Leipzig in 1965 with a degree in art education. Wegmann completed his academic career with a doctorate from the Humboldt University in Berlin in 1971. The artist contributed to several publications by the Berlin publishing house Volk und Wissen, which in 1969 also published Wegmann's monograph "Plastik. Lehrbuch für die Kunstbetrachtung" in 1969. He was also a long-standing member of the editorial board of the journal Kunsterziehung (Art Education) in Berlin and a specialist advisor for art education in Dresden.
