Colored sketch on verso, signed and dated again in lead on the lower left. Mounted in a narrow passepartout. Framed behind glass in a brown profiled wooden moulding with gold-coloured trim with leaf-tip bar. Mountedin psp. with transparent adhesive tape. Margins of the picture support somewhat unevenly trimmed. Partially small bubbles in the paint layer (inherent to the work). Dimensions: 37.4 x 31.5 cm, overall 50.9 x 43.6 cm. Helmut Symmangk 1931 Stimmersdorf, CSR - 2018 Starnberg 1945-50 worked as a forestry worker, unskilled labourer, stove setter. 1950-54 studied graphics at the technical school in Wismar and Heiligendamm. 1954-59 studies of painting at the college in Berlin-Weißensee. 1966/67 Master student at the Academy of Arts in Berlin, with O. Nagel and B. Heller. 1984-92 Teacher for evening studies at the Dresden Art Academy. Participated in GDR exhibitions at home and abroad. Was a freelance artist and resident in Meißen.
