Günter Albert Schulz 1921 Stettin - 2004 Leipzig 1939-41 Attended the School of Arts and Crafts in Stettin, 1942-44 studied at the Academy for Graphic Arts and Book Trade, which he had to break off due to his call-up to the Wehrmacht. 1959-76 worked as a teacher at the Karl-Marx-University Leipzig in the department of art education. From 1976 freelance artist. After Günter Schulz painted realistic history pictures in the 1950s and in the mid-1960s he created graphic prints of nature in black and white, after a trip to Bulgaria he devoted himself again to colour painting. His later works are abstract.
