Corners and isolated, small paint layer flaws at the edges of the picture as well as pressure marks due to framing.Isolated brownish spots on the surface, esp. at the lower margin Mi. Zwintscher.Fraaß volunteers for military service. 1919-22 master student of Robert Sterl. 1920 marries his wife Grete, in the same year goes on a study trip to Holland. 1924 Painting trip to the Bohemian Forest with fellow artists. 1925 Study trip to Spain. 1926 stays in Tyrol. 1927-29 stays in Leipzig. He paints opaque sheets of the Leipzig meadow landscape and studies in the Leipzig Zoo. 1931 co-founder and chairman of the Dresden Secession. 1945 Destruction of the studio in the bombing raid and destruction of many of his works. 1953-58 Professor of painting at the Dresden Art Academy. 1959 Art Prize of the City of Dresden.
