Studied at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden, 1947-49 with Wilhelm Rudolph, 1951-53 with Hans Grundig. 1953-56 lived in Plauen, afterwards in Dresden. Mainly portrait and landscape painting. Her portraits are characterized by a conventional composition with rich color gradations. Landscape motifs (also cityscapes with partial emphasis on social aspects) show especially the seasonal change.
