Framed in a profiled, light wood moulding. Painting board slightly curved and frayed at the outer edges. Several scratches on the surface of the painting as well as surrounding defects of the painting layer at the edge and slight abrasion due to the framing. Small, partly incorrectly coloured retouchings on the lower right. Dimensions: 83 x 73 cm, overall 97.1 x 87 cm. Emilie von Palmenberg 1864 Baden-Baden - 1931 Munich Studies with Herter in Karlsruhe, later with Parlaghy in Berlin as well as with Lenbach in Munich. For some time she lived in the USA. Her oeuvre includes portraits, landscapes and still lifes.
