Framed in a profiled black wooden moulding with golden visible border. Slightly soiled and rubbed at corners and edges due to framing. Measures: 30.8 x 24.4 cm, overall 38 x 31.8 cm. Walter Friederici 1874 Chemnitz - 1943 Dresden 1890 apprenticeship as lithographer. 1891-96 studied at the academy of arts in Dresden under Leon Pohle, afterwards master studies under Gotthardt Kuehl until 1899. From 1897 active participation as genre, interior and veduta painter at several exhibitions in Dresden, Berlin and Munich. 1902 co-founder of the "Elbier" in Dresden.
