The painting is not listed in the catalogue of the 1913 International Art Exhibition at the Glaspalast in Munich. Croatto is represented in it with two other works: No. 661 "Old Jaoan with Violets", oil painting, and No. 662 "The Harbor", etching. Inconspicuous traces of pressure and finest scratches in the painting layer. Pressed pastiness, probably from the working process, o.r. Smallest lesions at the edges of the picture. Material defects in the cardboard at the corners professionally repaired and retouched. Further small retouchings distributed over the picture surface. Dimensions: 50,3 x 51,4 cm. Bruno Croatto 1875 Trieste - 1948 Rome In Trieste artistic education as a pupil of the painter Giuseppe Garzolini. At the age of 16 he spent six months at the Munich Academy under Gabriel von Hackl. Return to Trieste, from 1908 in Orvieto. There he turns to etching. From 1925 he lives in Rome with his wife Igae Sinzi, from there he goes on several study trips.
