A shangping vase of white polychrome enamelled porcelain, China, 20th centuryThe globular body decorated with branches of peony flowers and white hibiscus growing from a pierced rock, and two bats in flight, the bottom of the vase and the foot decorated with floral friezes. The long flared neck enamelled in polychrome on a pink background with lotus flowers in foliage and bats with wings spread above a ribbon of pearls on which hangs a Qing musical stone surrounded by ribbons and ending in a pompom. The shoulder is decorated with flowers and scrolls on a yellow background bordered by ruyi heads. A frieze of stylized ruyi borders the top of the neck. It bears the four-character Hongxian mark in iron red under the base. Height : 40 cm
