Large baluster porcelain vase enamelled in the famille rose style, China, 19th centuryDecorated with various characters from Wu Shuang Pu, the "Table of Unsurpassed Heroes ". Each male or female character wears elaborate armour or robes and is identified by two rows of characters on the right and left, separated from each other by a flowering vase or a Buddhist emblem. The lower part of the vase is decorated with friezes of grecias dotted with chrysanthemums and the neck with a frieze of flowers and birds framed by friezes of ruyi heads and grecias. The neck is flanked by a handle in the form of a pink enamelled chilong. Height : 63 cmOne handle missing, crack.
