Two blue-white decorated porcelain baluster pots, China, 19th century- One in cracked porcelain decorated with pavilions in a lacustrine and mountainous landscape with clouds, rocks and trees where four characters illustrate the four noble professions: woodcutter, fisherman, peasant and scholar. Four dog-headed grips at the top of the body and two stylised friezes on the shoulder and around the neck. Chenghua apocryphal mark with four characters on the base. Height: 38 cmCracks and firing defects. - The other in white porcelain decorated with a lake and mountain landscape with trees, rocks and pavilions where five characters are moving: a fisherman on a sampan, a scholar sitting at the water's edge, a woodcutter carrying his faggots, a scholar and his assistant on a bridge and a peasant on his buffalo.
