Two blue and white porcelain tea jars, China, 18th century- One of quadrangular form decorated with a panel on each side alternating a rooster on a rock, two butterflies and an amaranth "rooster's crest" (association symbolizing the wish for an official to rise in the hierarchy) and a decoration of peony flowers. A stylized spandrel at each corner of the shoulder of the bottle. Height: 14 cmWooden base and stopper. Crack, chip and firing defect. - The other hexagonal shape with floral decoration on each side and on the shoulder. Unglazed base. Height : 11 cmSilvered metal stopper . Small cracks on the edges.
