ANONYMOUS HANDWRITTEN CARD. (Rade de Brest). Before 1692. Col. of the time. Ink and watercolour (pink, green and red). Paper a little yellowed, brown runs in upper margin, some foxing. Under plexiglass. 410 x 584 mm. Manuscript plan of the roadstead of Brest without the redoubt north of the Penfeld built in 1692. Scale at lower right of 4,000 toises (14.5 cm). A wind rose, a grid with depths, location letters depths, letters of situation. This plan seems to be a study for a marine school.
