Maillet vase in porcelain with polychrome enamel decoration in the style of the "green family"
Heavy paste with a flat turned base. Rests on a flared foot. With a bell/mallet shaped body topped by a neck called "phoenix tail". It is decorated in a polychrome enamelled palette in the style of the green family, with the different stages of sericulture. Thus we note the presence of weavers, spinners and mulberry trees. Among the details: men with their trouser sleeves rolled up, their feet in the water at the neck; a little boy trying to catch a rattle held by an old man. On the side, a phylactery inscribed with calligraphy. This is essentially the verse 31 of the text dedicated to PAN GUIFEI in the book "One Hundred Poems of Beautiful Women" by Ya Xiyuan (1787-1904).
