Indian miniature in an ivory frame Anglo-Indian school, late 18th - early 19th century Height of the frame : 25 ; Width of the frame : 16 cm This ivory frame is composed of four ivory plates fixed on the back by silver mounts. The initials "DO" are painted in red on the upper plate, topped by a silver ring stamped with the same monogram. The miniature represents a woman standing with her hands joined. Pre-convention ivory specimen. Conforms to the EC regulation 338-97 Art.2.w.mc of December 9, 1996. Specimen prior to June 1st 1947. Subject according to the decree of May 4, 2017 to a prior declaration "are authorized, subject to the prior declaration provided for in Article L. 412-1 of the Environmental Code.
