Orientalist frieze composed of four tiles with calligraphic decoration Terracotta with cloisonné enamel decoration France, 19th century Height: 25 ; Width: 102 cm The inscription is in Andalusian cursive script. These tiles are a good example of wall tiles produced in the oriental taste during the second half of the 19th century. Each tile is stamped on the back with a double D forming an H, evoking the figure of King Henry II.
