Red earthenware bottle in the style of Tophane Ottoman Egypt, 19th century Height : 26,4 cm It has a circular body decorated with large medallions centered on each side, decorated with palmettes and radiating plant motifs. The edges of the body are beaded. The high neck is encircled with fine gadrooned friezes, and the pedestal with a twisted frieze. It bears an old collection label on the underside stating: "Modern Egyptian vase, 1889. Gift of Mr. Bärher Aarau."
