Indian ivory writing case Ivory, silver mounts India, 18th century Height : 8 ; Width : 27 ; Depth : 10 cm The interior of this writing case consists of a large compartment and three smaller ones, one of which is hidden under the main compartment. The silver feet and mounts are decorated with floral and plant motifs. (Old restoration on the bottom) Pre-convention ivory specimen. Conforms to the EC regulation 338-97 Art.2.w.mc of December 9, 1996. Specimen prior to June 1st 1947. Subject according to the decree of May 4, 2017 to a prior declaration are authorized, subject to the prior declaration provided for in Article L. 412-1 of the Environmental Code.
