Denise Gatard trained in ceramics with her brother Georges Jouve. She regularly participates in the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs and the Arts Ménagers.
She likes the contrast of black and white, the softer colours going from straw yellow to aniseed green, the crackles and the free and natural forms.
