Paris, Ruault, 1774. 5 parts in one vol. in-4° of [4]-40-64-78-109-1bl.-[1]-28 pages, granite calf, spine with ornamented nerves (period binding). Famous affair which fascinated the French public and the press of the time. The financier Joseph Paris Duverney had made testamentary dispositions in favour of his associate, Beaumarchais; dispositions strongly refuted by the count de La Blache, universal legatee of the financier. First edition with the portrait of Beaumarchais which was added to only a few copies according to Tchemerzine. The 6th and last part of 24 pages "Arrêt de la Cour", is not bound in the copy.
