THUS LEAVING LARGE OPENING. 91 x 62 cm The writer and diplomat Paul Morand lived at 3 avenue Charles Floquet from 1927 to 1976. The building had been built in 1910 by the architect Pierre Humbert, for Prince Soutzo, whose daughter Helene Morand had married. Gill and Reigate, operating at 85 Oxford Street in London, was founded in 1898. A company of antique and modern furniture dealers, decorators and upholsterers, its clients included King George V. It operated until 1958.
