Description of the ceremonies and celebrations that took place for the coronation of Their Majesties Napoleon, Emperor of the French and King of Italy and Josephine, his august wife. Collection of decorations executed in the church of Notre-Dame de Paris and in the Champ de Mars. Paris, Leblanc, 1807. Large folio (72 x 52 cm) in contemporary hardback. Monogrammed stamp of the period on the title. 2] ff, 24 pp, 12 plates and [4] pp. of explanations of the plates. First edition. The copper-engraved illustration consists of a headband, a cul-de-lampe and 12 line-engraved plates (an illustrated title, 2 plans, 3 elevations and 6 views of the Notre-Dame cathedral and the École militaire). Spine damaged and missing, corners worn, otherwise a very good copy as issued, free of foxing. Provenance Former library of a Councillor of State and Peer of France, Chamberlain to Napoleon I and Count of the Empire, with his monogrammed stamp on the titles accompanied by his motto.
