Beautiful pair of allegorical prints titled "Apotheosis of Louis XVI" and "Apotheosis of Marie-Antoinette", the first one after the marble of François-Joseph Bosio (1768-1845) kept in the Expiatory Chapel in Paris.

Provenance
Rose de Quatrebarbes, wife of the politician Théodore de Quatrebarbes (1803-1871), a fervent legitimist who was opposed to the government of Louis-Philippe.
