Diameter 37.5 mm Wrist circumference 18 cm Works, few signs of use, in good condition with case that has probably never been opened since its purchase in 1983, gasket to be replaced, movement works but needs servicing, no warranty. Launched in the late 1960s, the two references 6263 and 6265 have become emblematic models for the Daytona model. Following the example of reference 6240, reference 6263 is distinguished by the screwed pushers and this dial marked "Oyster". The Rolex Daytona known as "Big Red" under reference 6263 is one of the most recognizable and iconic vintage Rolex Cosmograph and Rolex Daytona references. Introduced in the late 1960s, reference 6263 is distinguished by its black acrylic insert set into a fixed steel bezel. Reference 6263 incorporates a number of improvements over previous Cosmograph references, including the 3-position-adjusted caliber 727, as well as enhanced water-resistance capabilities with the introduction of screwed pushers. In the 1970s, Rolex introduced a new dial configuration known today among collectors as "Big Red", so called because of the bolder red printing of the word "Daytona" above the 6 o'clock counter. Our example has remained in the same family from the outset, and what's striking is the condition of the case, which has been preserved as it was in the original. This watch has undoubtedly been worn only a few times, as evidenced by the original certificate and an accompanying Rolex case. A real discovery for lovers and connoisseurs of vintage Rolexes in excellent condition, which are becoming increasingly rare on today's auction market. Expert: Ader Watches
