A privateer's chest, said to be from Nuremberg in wrought iron, painted on the top, sides and front with church and house landscapes, bunches of flowers, leaves and polychrome scrolls. It is adorned with a fictitious lock entrance on the front flanked by hasps and important twisted side handles. The lock system has 5 bolts and is covered with a decorative plate in cut and chiseled iron of two marine horses facing each other on a stylized scroll background. With its original key. South Germany, Nuremberg, 17th century. Height 35,7 cm. Length 76,2 cm. Width 35.3 cm. Wear to the polychromy.
