Catechism manual written by the Spanish Dominican and preacher Louis de Granada (1504-1588). REMARKABLE GILT-STAMPED GERMAN BINDING OF THE PERIOD. It is decorated on the first board with a crucifixion with this biblical quotation : Christus factus est pro nobis obediens usque ad mortem mortem autem crucis. The repeated scroll on the second board shows the bust portraits of the evangelists, which are also accompanied by biblical quotations. Old handwritten bookplate on the title.
