First edition, illustrated with a title-frontispiece and 47 (out of 54) copper-engraved plates by Philippe Galle representing in ornamented cartouches beautiful portraits in medallion of the main characters of ancient mythology.
Beautiful gilt vellum binding of the time, probably local.
Faded binding. Upper margin of the title-frontispiece cut out without affecting the engraved subject, wetness at the head of the leaves, top of the dedication leaf soiled.
