Heures [à l'usage de] Paris, contenant plusieurs oraisons debvotes, en Françoys & en Latin, & confession generalle. Paris, Thielmann Kerver, 1552. Large in-12, brown morocco, decorated with a fanfare around a central cartouche in reserve and enhanced with small azure irons, smooth spine decorated with a scrollwork enhanced with the same azure irons, traces of fastenings (Binding of the time). Delightful edition printed by Kerver in red and black, the text set in wood frames with animal, flower and coat of arms motifs. At the end of the book of hours itself, there are printed several devotional orations with a particular title and a separate pagination (in all 32 leaves). Regulated copy. INTERESTING PRIMITIVE TYPE BINDING, with very little decorated compartments, in which still remain the decorative elements proper to the interlaced bindings of the reign of Henry II, such as the scrolling of the edges of the decoration and the azure irons. It can be dated 1565. From the Miribel library (1993, n°56). The whole volume a little soiled. Hinges and spine redone, endpapers renewed.
