First edition in Italian of this historical work on the different dynasties that ruled the kingdom of Naples, by Michele Riccio (1445-1515), Neapolitan historian, ambassador and jurisconsult.
The translation is by the Roman historian Francesco Sansovino (1521-1583), under the pseudonym of Giovanni Tatti.
Early manuscript bookplate on the title: Ad usum R.P. Philippi a Pogio-Mirteto Ministri Prolis. Wet stamp on the title, undetermined.
Copy trimmed a little short, the headlines cut. Staining to the last 12 leaves, some foxing, title soiled.
