Confessionale di Sancto Antonio Arcivescovo de Firenze del Ordine di Predicatori. S.l., 1534 [on colophon] : Venice, Francesco di Alessandro Bindoni and Mapheo Pasini, April 1534. In-8, stiff vellum, title in ink on spine, spotted edges (17th century binding). Rare Venetian edition of this pious work by St. Anthony of Forciglioni (1389-1459), Dominican preacher and archbishop of Florence, canonized in 1523. It is printed in Roman script, except for the title which is in Gothic script, set in an ornamental woodcut frame and bears the typographical mark of the publishers, the latter repeated on the verso of the last leaf. Manuscript ex-libris of a Capuchin friar on the title, old manuscript ex-libris at the end. Blue pen marks on verso of last leaf, stains on last 2 leaves on back covers. Worm damage repaired in the margin and at the bottom corner of about twenty leaves.
