IMPORTANT COLLECTION OF 3 WORKS BY SAVONAROLE (1452-1498), famous preacher who ended up hanged and burned at the stake in Florence. Sixteenth-century Venetian prints in Roman type, each with a beautiful identical woodcut on the title depicting Savonarola in his cell. Early handwritten bookplates on the title of the first work, one of which mentions a Germanic provenance (Reichersdorf, Bavaria) dated 1586. Worm holes on the back covers.
