Gothic edition of the commentaries of Jean de Bassols, Franciscan theologian of the 14th century, on the four books of the Sentences of Peter Lombard. Printed in small gothic characters on two columns. Title placed in a beautiful woodcut frame from the material of Nicolas du Pré, with the typographical mark of François Regnault in the centre. CHARMING CONTEMPORARY BINDING IN TURNED CALF, NOT RESTORED. The volume contains the third and fourth parts only (out of 4) and is incomplete of 6 leaves (B8 and C1 to C5). Interchange of some leaves in three quires. Staining at the beginning and end of the volume. Scuffing and loss of binding.
