Catalogus sanctorum. Lyon, Claude Davost and Etienne Gueynard, 1508. In-4, sow skin stamped in cold on ais, three-ribbed spine with handwritten title, two brass clasps (Binding of the time). Baudrier, vol. XI, pp. 212-213. - Brun, p. 257. - Mortimer, n°383. VERY NICE LYONNAISE EDITION printed in Gothic type on two columns, illustrated with a multitude of small woodcuts representing the various saints and a large woodcut representing a Crucifixion. The last frame, f. 337 v°, is occupied by a dance of the dead in 10 scenes (8 men and 2 women). The title is printed in red and black, set in an ornamental woodcut frame. The Catalogus sanctorum was composed by Petrus de Natalibus between 1369 and 1372 and first appeared in 1493 in Vicenza. It was published in numerous editions in the 16th century, notably in Venice and Lyon. Notebook y and L a little browned.
