It was printed by Mathieu Huss (or Husz according to Claudin), a printer and bookseller active in Lyon between 1482 and 1500, known for his magnificent illustrated incunabula. It is printed in Gothic type in two different sizes: one for the text of the Psalms and the Canticle, the other for the author's commentaries which surround the text. Only about fifteen copies of this incunabulum are known to exist in institutions, including two in France (Lyon and Roanne). A rubricated and ruled copy. VERY INTERESTING CONTEMPORARY STAMPED BINDING, BEARING, AMONG A SERIES OF LARGE ANIMAL IRONS, THE ARMS OF VIENNE IN DAUPHINE. Handwritten ex-libris of the time on the last leaf, under the colophon. Small stamp in violet ink (crowned figure), repeated, and inscription in Double pen on leaf a2. Missing the title. Small ink stains through the paper in the inner margin of leaves x4 to y3, corners of the last leaf restored with japanese paper. Binding roughly restored.
