Illustrated by Horace Vernet and Hippolyte Bellangé, with numerous vignettes, including one on the title, and 17 engravings out of text printed on chine glue. First edition. The cover is the one used for the cartonnages d'étrennes or the publisher's bindings executed by Boutigny (cf. Carteret, p. 65). A good copy, in spite of rare freckles.
