A crossbow shaped chest of drawers in violet wood veneer, opening to four drawers on three rows. Rich ornamentation of gilded foliage bronzes. Grey and pink veined marble top (fractured). Stamped F. G. Louis XV period, circa 1730/1740. (Restorations). Height : 86 cm - Width : 143 cm Depth : 67 cm François Garnier, juror of the corporation from 1742 to 1744, died on October 20th 1774. The Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris has a chest of drawers with a similar structure and the same gilded bronze feet (inv 38193).
