ORIGINAL EDITION of this monumental work published by order of Napoleon III. The commission for the publication of this correspondence was composed of Marshal Vaillant, Prosper Mérimée, General Aupick, François de Chabrier-Peloubet... The last four volumes contain the Oeuvres de Napoléon à Sainte-Hélène, his testament and his codicils. Bindings rubbed and damaged, but EXAMPLE IN CHAGRIN WITH IMPERIAL ARMS.
