Paris, Tresse Editeur, 1879. Small in-18. Illustrated full percaline cobalt blue boards. White edges. Blue endpapers. Imprimerie Générale de Chatillon-sur-Seine. Book including a plan of the theatre, a photograph glued on cardboard (apparently unknown and drawn according to an "unalterable process") of Jules Verne by Adolphe Braun, and photographs, also glued on cardboard of the actors: Ravel, Laray, Taillade, Faille, Fraizier, Gobin, Mlle P. Patry, Mlle Marie-Laure and Murray. Headbands worn and 1st spine split at head over an inch. 1st endpaper cracked. Copy out of order. Otherwise, good condition for this very rare booklet which was not in the Weissenberg library. The "unalterable process" of carbon printing invented by J. W. Swan and used for the photographs of this book was not a false announcement, they are, even today, perfectly contrasted!
