Trepanning surgery case, with crankshaft, accessories and six instruments in white polished steel and ebony grips. Signed on the crankshaft. Two accessories missing. Some cracks, small shocks and oxidation. In a rectangular wooden case, formerly covered with leather (missing), with spandrels and movable handle on brass plate, engraved "Hôpitaux Ambulants". Iron lock (corroded, without key). Interior lined with an old pink burlap (worn). Late 18th or first third of the 19th century. 5 x 38 x 21,8 cm. Cover warped; cracks, shocks. Attached : A steel and brass crankshaft from the second half of the 19th century. H. : 31 cm. Wear and oxidation.
